Poster Presentation at XXV IUFRO World Congress 2019

“IUFRO (https://www.iufro.org/) is a non-profit, non-governmental international network of forest scientists, which promotes global cooperation in forest-related research and enhances the understanding of the ecological, economic and social aspects of forests and trees. IUFRO is the global network for forest science cooperation. It unites more than 15,000 scientists in almost 700 Member Organizations in over 110 countries, and is a member of ICSU.”

The XXV IUFRO World Congress 2019 (https://www.iufro.org/) focused on “Forest Research and Cooperation for Sustainable Development” and took place in Curitiba, Brazil from the 29th September till the 5th October, 2019. It is the first time that IUFRO World Congress is hosted in Latin America. Approximately three thousand participants are expected at the event, which will discuss various aspects related to forest research.

As part of the “FOREST” project, the PhD candidate Maria Prodromou presented a research study for tackling height and size variations while interpreting LiDAR data collected from native forests.
