SilviLaser 2019 is hosted for the first time in Latin America at the Foz Iguazu, Brazil. It is been running for 16th years and it aims to bring together scientists, students and LiDAR users from around the world to share experience laser scanning techniques for forest ecosystem monitoring. It also aims to strengthen and develop new linkages between researchers, data providers, and end product users. This conference is very related to the work conducted as part of the “FOREST” project and our present was, therefore, not to be missed. PhD candidate Maria Prodromou presented a study conducted as part of the project.
